Welcome to our Church

I am so excited to work in ministry with the people of Mary Esther United Methodist Church and to learn and grow in ministry with Rev. Dr. Sam Parkes.

In 2019, I received a Master of Arts in Ministry from Asbury Theological Seminary. Most recently, I became a licensed local pastor and am a certified candidate to be an ordained elder in the United Methodist Church.

My family lives in Fort Walton Beach where my husband, Ebb, is the pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church. This makes our three kids — Gaston (18), Mallory (17), and Stefan (14) — double-duty pastor’s kids. We work on navigating that interesting situation daily.

I am originally from Washington state where my parents still live in a small town on the Colville Indian Reservation called Inchelium. My husband is from Evergreen, Alabama. We met while he was working at a cement plant in Seattle and I was working at a local law firm. God called both of us into ministry at different stages in our lives and we’ve pulled our kids all around the country working to be obedient to God’s leading in our lives. We’re so happy to have completed seminary and finally be able to settle into the wonderful work God is doing here in Florida.

I look forward to connecting, worshipping, and growing in faith with all who gather to worship at Mary Esther United Methodist Church and the surrounding community.
