One thing about change is that it is inevitable. Churches are not exempt from this. In the United Methodist Church, pastors are appointed for a season and then things change. Some are here for longer seasons than others, but eventually things change. But with change, comes opportunity: opportunity to reflect on things of the past; opportunity to grow as individuals and as a congregation; and opportunity to start new traditions while respecting traditions of old. As we head into a season of change with our new pastoral appointment let us embrace the change and look for new opportunities all around us.

Our new pastor, Dr. Sam Parkes, is coming to us from Cloverdale UMC in Dothan, AL and will be officially joining us on July 1, 2018.
